RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS IN ASSOCIATE BANKS OF STATE BANK OF INDIA
Phase-I - Written Examination : Time 3 Hrs. (Combined Objective & Descriptive
Type Tests)
The duration of objective type test will be 2 hours and will consist of :
i) Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
ii) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
iii) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
iv) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The duration of descriptive type test will be 1 hour and the test will be "Test of English
Language (Comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay)"
Descriptive test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who are adequately
high in percentile ranking in each of all the four objective tests and have scored overall
aggregate 40% in case of General category and 35% in case SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
The qualifying marks for descriptive test will also be 40% for General category and 35%
for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. The merit list of written examination will be based on the aggregate
of the marks obtained by the candidates in objective and descriptive tests.
Phase-II : Group Discussion & Interview :
The aggregate marks of objective test and descriptive test will be arranged in descending
order and the candidates who have qualified in written examination will be called for
group discussion and interview depending upon the vacancies in each category subject
to maximum of three times the number of vacancies. The marks of group discussion and
interview will be put together and the candidates who secure 40% marks (35% in case
of SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in group discussion and interview will be considered for final
selection. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each
category. The candidate will have to pass both in Phase I & II.

(A) Essential Academic Qualifications :
General and other Candidates : 60% aggregate marks in class XII or Diploma
course after 10th standard AND 55%

SC/ ST/ PWD : 55% aggregate marks in class XII or Diploma
course after 10th standard AND 50%
aggregate marks in Graduation irrespective of
Pass Course or Honours Course.
In case of candidates having professional qualification(s) of CA or CWA or CFA or
CS (Company Secretary), where graduation is not compulsory, the candidates
should have secured minimum 60% aggregate marks in class XII (55% in case of
SC/ ST/ PWD candidates) and pass marks in any one of the above examination.
Note : (1) Candidates who have not passed XIIth Standard Examination but have
passed with 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ ST/PWD) Diploma courses
after Xth Standard are eligible for the captioned recruitment, provided:
(i) Diploma course passed must be a full time course (Diploma course
through correspondence are not eligible) with a minimum of Two years
duration
(ii) The Diploma course should be recognised/ approved by the State Board
of Technical Education of the concerned State.
(2) The percentage of marks in XIIth Std./ Diploma Course/ Graduation shall be
arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects
by aggregate maximum marks of all subjects irrespective of optional/ additional
optional subjects studied. Similar percentage of marks in Graduate shall be
arrived at by dividing the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in
all subjects by maximum marks of the all subjects of Course (both for Pass

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates

Experience :
•At least 7 (seven) years regular teaching experience in any Government/Government aided High/Higher Secondary Schools. If adequate number of ST/SC candidates with requisite experience are not available, relaxation for a maximum period of 2 (two) years in experience criterion shall be allowed to the ST/SC candidates.

Qualification :
•Master Degree/Honours Degree in any subject securing at least 45% marks from any recognized University with academic good records. A relaxation of 5% marks shall be allowed to the ST/SC candidates.

Age Limit for the above Posts :
18 to 40 years as on 31.01.2010.
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years in case of ST/SC/PH candidates & Government employees including teachers of the Government aided Schools. Provided that the Government Servants belonging to ST,SC & PH category shall not get this relaxation over and above the general relaxation of 5 years available to them.
In case of Ex-Serviceman, the age is relaxable as per Memo No. F. 14(19)-P/84 dated 09.04.1985 issued by the Political Department, Govt. of Tripura.
Application Form : The 4(four) pages printed application Form will be available from any of the total 108 Nos. of Branches/Extension counters of Tripura Gramin Bank located at different places of Urban and Rural areas in the State of Tripura on deposit of the prescribed Recruitment Fee through the Special Deposit Slip to the Account No. 14711 in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. in
the same Branch / Extension counter as a single window system without any extra charge/Commission from the candidates.
For the candidates outside of the State, the said prescribed Form can also be down loaded from the Website http://www.tpsc.gov.in or http://www.tripurainfo.com and in that case, the Prescribed Recruitment Fee is to be paid in the form of demand draft of any Nationalized Bank payable at Agartala in favour of the Secretary, T.P.S.C. The said demand draft is to be enclosed with the filled up application form with record in the specified Box on the 1st page of the Form.
Rate of Recruitment Fees:
Group-B Posts:-Rs.150/-(Rupees One hundred fifty)only for general candidates and Rs.75/- (Rupees Seventy Five) only for ST or SC (Tripura Government recognized) / BPL family card holder/ Physically Handicapped candidates.
Note :
•ST/SC Candidates of other States (not recognized by the Govt. of Tripura) should apply for unreserved vacancy as general candidate along with recruitment fee prescribed for general candidates.
•The applicants must be in possession of the prescribed minimum qualification(s) for the respective post(s) on the closing date for submission of application as mentioned in the advertisement.
Submission of Application :
The application in the prescribed form duly filled in by the candidate and 2(two) copies of recent stamp size photographs of the candidate affixed on the Application and Admit Card along with the copies of self attested certificates as noted in the application form is to be submitted to the Reception Counter of the TPSC Secretariat by 5 PM of the closing date & to obtain the acknowledgement including Receipt Number.
The candidates who are to sent the application by post, also required to attach to the application; a self-addressed Post-card indicating the Advertisement No.,Item No.and name of the post applied for. Application will be acknowledged by the Commission by returning this card to the candidates after indicating the Registration No. allotted to the candidates. No separate acknowledgement other than this card will be sent to them.
Note :
•Any application incomplete in any form or defective or containing statements which are incorrect or false or if there is any suppression of facts, are liable to be summarily rejected. No correspondence or queries from applicants will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
•The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate at any stage of the selection process shall be the final.
•Date, time and venue of Screening Test / Interview of the eligible qualified candidates will be notified in due course

National Olympiad Science Result announced
The 12th NSO was conducted on 19-11-2009. The objective of the science Olympiad is to provide a national and international level ability.
According to the website, the 13rd IMO results will be declared on Feb 1, 2010.
The 13th National Science Olympiad is scheduled to be held in November 2010.
